Mexican Single Polianthes (Tuberose) has single white funnel-shaped blooms with 6 spreading petals and an intoxicating smell. The flower spikes can reach 3 to 4 feet in height. It needs warmth, sunshine, well-drained soil, even moisture and at least a month and a half of good growing after it is done flowering for best re-blooming success. If well-grown, the tubers will multiply rapidly and will need to be divided every 3 to 4 years. Performs slightly better in the garden than the double form. A perennial in Zones 9-11. An excellent pot plant elsewhere.
